St Veronica Giuliani was also a prolific mystical writer. Her works, which include autobiographical writings, prayers and letters, are considered precious testimonies of her deep spirituality and love for Christ.
She is venerated as the patron saint of Capuchin Poor Clare nuns, the mentally ill and people suffering from eye diseases.
St Veronica's feast day falls on 9 July, a day on which her life and her contribution to the Christian faith are commemorated. Her story continues to inspire many people to this day because of her devotion to God and her witness of faith.
