Description

Let yourself be enveloped by the majesty and serenity of the Sculpture of Saint Veronica, a masterpiece of sacred art that inspires nobility and contemplation. The standing figure is sculpted with a balanced posture, dressed in a sumptuous mantle draped in a deep dark green, tending towards bluish-grey. The effect is magnified by the lustrous golden inner lining that shines vividly along each fold, accentuating the volume and movement of the drapery.

The face, serene and contemplative, expresses an almost mystical sweetness. The details are executed with artisanal meticulousness: from the golden crown on her head to the symbols she holds in her hand: a small bouquet of white and yellow flowers, and the palm of martyrdom.

This sculpture is a testament to the centuries-old woodcarving tradition of Val Gardena. Depending on the selected size, the best wood essence is used to ensure impeccable details and lasting durability. Made of maple wood for sizes up to 56cm and lime wood for other sizes, each piece is carved and then finely hand-painted by our master artisans, guaranteeing a unique work of inestimable spiritual and artistic value.
