This moving figure presents the Shepherd in a slightly stooped pose, a gesture of humble support as he carries the rescued lamb on his shoulders. The face, sculpted with a calm and thoughtful expression, and the finely carved beard, convey a profound tenderness and a sense of protection. Beside him, the standing goat completes the scene, with horns and coat rendered with extraordinary attention to naturalistic details.
The colored (C) finish, with its earthy and vibrant tones – from olive green to dark blue – enhances every fold of the garments and the texture of the animals' fur, achieved through skillful brushstrokes. Each piece is entirely handmade by our master carvers in Val Gardena. Since the work is available in sizes ranging from 6 cm to 15 cm, it is carved from precious Maple Wood, known for its fine grain and ability to retain the smallest details. It is also available in natural (N) or three shades of brown (3G) finishes, perfect for those who wish to highlight the pure beauty of the wood grain.
