The sculpture captures the deep serenity of Saint Padre Pio. The figure is depicted in a pose of humble contemplation, with his head slightly bowed and his gaze gently directed downwards, radiating a quiet spiritual strength and meekness. The mastery of the sculptors of Val Gardena is evident in the fluid and realistic rendering of the garments: the brown tunic is rich in natural folds that give dynamism to the figure, while a light-colored waist sash emphasizes the friar's humility.
Particular attention is dedicated to the stole, painted in an intense dark purple and sumptuously decorated with glossy gold finishes, stylized cross motifs, and arabesques that enhance its sacred character. The details are meticulous and touching: from the rosaries hanging from his left arm to the small pink flowers delicately held in his left hand, symbols of his deep devotion and reputation as a miracle worker.
This sculpture is available in two precious finishes: Painted (C), which enhances the richness of the pigments and the golden contrasts, and Natural (N), which celebrates the pure grain of the wood. Respecting the ancient Dolfi tradition, the material is carefully selected: made of maple wood for sizes up to 56cm and linden wood for other sizes, ensuring durability and impeccable detail in every format, from the smallest to the monumental.
