This statue of Saint Faustina Kowalska is a masterpiece of devotion and craftsmanship, carved and hand-painted by our artisans in Val Gardena. Every detail is meticulously crafted to reflect the serenity and spiritual mission of the "Apostle of Divine Mercy."
The sculpture captures the Saint in an upright and contemplative pose. Her black nun's habit, with its voluminous and realistic folds, gently contrasts with the immaculate white wimple that frames her face. Her sweet and serene expression, with blue eyes fixed forward, conveys a deep inner peace. Note the delicacy of her gesture: her left hand holding a small crucifix, a symbol of the Passion, and her right hand raised in a gesture of welcome and blessing.
True to our tradition, this work is made from precious linden wood. Given its impressive range of sizes, from 60 cm up to 200 cm, linden is the ideal material to ensure robustness and extraordinary definition of sculptural details, before the hand-painted finish with opaque and realistic colors that enhance the figure's realism.
