This sculpture captures the instant of infinite love, with the standing Madonna tenderly holding the Infant Jesus, a symbol of salvation and the future.
The pictorial execution is of the highest level: the terracotta red inner garment combines with the midnight blue mantle, skillfully shaded and adorned with golden embroidery that enhances its contours. The colored finish, enriched with precious gold leaf details – visible in the inner lining of the mantle, in the ornaments, and in the pendant with three gems – gives an aura of sacredness and splendor to the entire figure. The faces, serene and contemplative for the Mother, sweet and curious for the Child, instill peace and devotion in those who observe them.
The artisanal care is manifested in the soft folds of the draperies, which give volume and movement, and in the finish of the two-tone base. To guarantee maximum fidelity to detail and durability over time, each piece is made with selected mountain raw materials. The sculpture is made of maple wood for sizes up to 56cm and linden wood for other sizes, ensuring Dolfi excellence in every available format.
