A masterpiece of faith and royalty, our statue of the Madonna of Bavaria captures the majestic elegance of the Virgin, in a chromatic harmony that enhances every line. Mary is enveloped in an intense red-orange dress and a deep blue mantle, whose wide and dynamic folds reveal a sumptuous golden lining. The scepter and the elaborate crown emphasize her dignity as Queen of Heaven.
The Child Jesus, resting on Mary's left arm, is depicted in a calm and regal pose, holding firmly in his hands the globe, a symbol of his sovereignty over creation. The finishes are polychrome, made with artisan mastery and the abundant use of gilding, which enhances the baroque details of the base and the luxury of the internal drapes.
This sculpture is the highest expression of Val Gardena craftsmanship, where each piece is hand-carved and finished. Our statues are made of precious maple wood for all sizes up to 56 cm and in robust lime wood for larger sizes, ensuring resistance and maximum detail definition at every scale.
