A celebration of love and protection, this modern sculpture "The Embrace" captures the essence of intimacy through abstract and minimal forms. The larger figure, enveloped in a deep midnight blue, gracefully curves to contain and protect the smaller form, creating a safe haven that evokes the image of a mother with her child. The interior reveals a warm chromatic interplay, where welcoming pink blends into the pale cream of the central figure. Elegance is underscored by a subtle, glossy golden line that acts as a transitional border, enhancing the fusion between the protective exterior and the loving interior.
Each piece is a masterpiece of Val Gardena craftsmanship. The colored finishes are applied with translucent stains that enhance the natural grain of the wood, maintaining the tactile and visual sensation of the precious material. In accordance with sculptural tradition, this work is made of maple wood for sizes up to 56cm and the more ductile linden wood for sizes from 56cm upwards, ensuring impeccable quality and stability even in monumental versions up to 200cm.
