The artisan Dolfi has captured the animal in a static and dignified pose, with its trunk elegantly raised, a symbol of good fortune and welcome.

Every element of the harness and load has been meticulously carved and hand-painted. Admire the vibrant red headpiece and saddle pad, embellished with golden finishes that replicate the opulence of precious metals. The load consists of yellow and blue scrolls and a terracotta jug, supported by a carved structure with decorative scrolls and secured by burnt orange straps, suggesting meticulous preparation for an important journey.

To ensure the utmost finesse of details and durability over time, this sculpture is made from precious maple wood, typical of our creations under 56 cm. L'elefante, pur non essendo un soggetto nativo alpino, è entrato nel repertorio degli scultori come icona di mondi lontani, spesso raffigurato con l'opulenza dei finimenti indiani o africani. Queste figure, realizzate con la medesima cura destinata ai soggetti sacri, erano un tempo ricercatissimi souvenir per i viaggiatori del Grand Tour, e oggi rappresentano un ponte tra l'abilità artigianale alpina e l'iconografia globale, mantenendo viva l'eredità artistica della nostra valle.
