The Baroque Crucifix captures the essence of the Passion with a sculptural mastery typical of Val Gardena craftsmanship. This representation is defined by its imposing Latin cross, in a deep brown color that enhances its aged character, embellished with elegant cloverleaf terminals that give the work a distinctive and historical trait. A lighter outer border finishes its outline, focusing attention on the Corpus Christi.
The figure of Jesus is sculpted with an almost scientific attention to anatomy, reflecting suffering and the final surrender: the head reclined, eyes closed, and the body bearing the weight of gravity. The loincloth, draped with a remarkable sense of movement, presents shades ranging from slate grey to ochre, highlighting the complex manual painting. Above the head, a vibrant blue ribbon cartouche houses the "INRI" letters incised with a golden finish, a chromatic detail that elevates the visual impact of the work.
To guarantee quality and dimensional flexibility, the sculpture is made of precious maple wood for sizes up to 56 cm and sturdy linden wood for larger sizes, ensuring perfect proportions and durability in every variation, from the smallest (27 cm) to the most imposing (120 cm). Available in a rich palette of finishes, from natural to colored blue (CB), red (CR), and gold leaf (CV), this crucifix is an affirmation of faith and art.
