This classic hand-carved Crucifix is a work of deep spirituality and artisan mastery, created entirely by our sculptors from Val Gardena. The visual analysis reveals an intense representation of Christ on the cross, capturing the moment of ultimate surrender and sacrifice.
The figure stands out for its exceptional attention to anatomical details: the contracted musculature, prominent ribs, and raised veins emphasize the suffering. The wounds on the hands, feet, and side are painted with vivid red, contrasting with the pale complexion and the grey-violet shading that give depth and realism to the body.
A touch of sacredness and magnificence is given by the loincloth, draped in an intense blue with precious shiny gold leaf finishes. The "INRI" placard at the top of the cross, also gilded and reflective, completes the work.
Each piece is finished and colored by hand with the utmost care. Available sizes range from small (16 cm) to monumental (300 cm). In accordance with our sculptural tradition, this Crucifix is made of maple wood for sizes up to 56 cm and linden wood for all larger sizes.
