Admire the majesty and profound spirituality of the Statue of Saint Ubald Bishop, a masterpiece of sacred craftsmanship from Val Gardena. This polychrome sculpture captures the holy bishop in a dynamic and reflective pose: his weight slightly forward, his face framed by a thick beard, and his gaze absorbed in the open book he holds in his left hand.
The masterful use of color enhances the richness of the clerical vestments. The intense reddish-brown of the tunic perfectly matches the light beige of the miter and pallium. Every detail is finished with extreme care: from the deep folds that simulate the drapery of the fabric, to the extensive gold leaf finishes that illuminate the edges of the vestment, the ornamental crozier, and the multi-layered base. The surface is treated with a protective varnish that enhances its luster and guarantees its durability over time.
Made according to the ancient and rigorous Alpine sculptural tradition, this statue guarantees the highest quality and a tangible expression of faith. Depending on the chosen size, the wood used is selected to ensure the best aesthetic and structural performance: it is made of precious maple wood for sizes up to 56 cm and sturdy linden wood for larger dimensions.
