Il rosario è la "corona di rose" spirituale offerta alla Vergine Maria, un simbolo universale della preghiera contemplativa cattolica. La successione di grani rappresenta le decine di Ave Maria, intervallate dai Pater Noster e dal Gloria. In questo specifico modello, la presenza della <strong>Croce Tau</strong> lo lega indissolubilmente alla spiritualità di San Francesco d'Assisi. Il Tau, a forma di 'T', era il sigillo del Santo e rappresenta la penitenza, il rinnovamento interiore e la salvezza per mezzo della croce, invitando a vivere secondo i principi di umiltà e amore per la creazione.
