Rappresenta la ferita d'amore inflitta da Cupido (Eros), dio del desiderio, la cui freccia è in grado di innescare una passione irrefrenabile. Nella nostra scultura, la profonda fessura ondulata che divide il cuore aggiunge un ulteriore strato di significato, evocando il concetto di "cuore spezzato" o la vulnerabilità intrinseca al vero amore.
