The sculpture of King Melchior captures the essence of solemnity and devotion. This regal figure stands with a composed posture and a serene, contemplative expression, symbolizing humble wonder in the face of the divine.

Attention to detail is evident in the sumptuous drapery: the cloak, a bright golden yellow, contrasts beautifully with the gray-blue lining and the deep dark red tunic. The height of royalty is achieved with the crown and the golden chalice, the latter held reverently in his right hand, ready for the offering.

As per the sculptural tradition of Val Gardena, this 40 cm statue is made of maple wood, a material chosen for its fineness and ability to retain the most minute details.
