Immerse yourself in the enchantment of Alpine traditions with our Weather House, a true jewel of craftsmanship that combines rustic aesthetics and meteorological precision. This home weather station is carved to faithfully replicate a typical mountain chalet, complete with a gabled roof with stylized tiles and a chimney.
At the center of the scene, under the porch, two figures in traditional mountain attire – the Büebele (boy) and the Madl (girl) – act as humidity indicators. Their movement, visible on the central balance, is the heart of the hygrometric function: when the air becomes dry, the male figure advances; with the arrival of humidity, it is the woman who takes center stage. A vertical thermometer positioned in the center completes the instrument.
The sculpture is enriched with meticulous hand-painted details, such as the carved hearts on the shutters and the roof gable, the small deer, and the stylized pine trees at the base. The colors are warm and natural, dominated by the brown of the wood and forest green, recalling the authentic atmosphere of the Dolomites.
This precious creation is handmade in Val Gardena. Given its size of 16 cm, the main structure and the figures are expertly carved from precious Maple wood, known for its fine grain which allows for detailed craftsmanship and a velvety finish to the touch.
