Description

The Sculpture of Saint Elmstano Bishop is a masterpiece of artisanal craftsmanship that captures the authority and serenity of the sacred figure. The upright and dynamic pose enhances the elegance of the episcopal vestments, dominated by a deep red-brown and enriched by an extraordinary wealth of golden details.

Observe the precision of the polychrome finish: the ample outer robe is outlined by gold leaf borders and intricate scrollwork and leafy motifs on the lower part, which contrast beautifully with the sobriety of the cream cope and the brilliance of the crozier. The face, framed by a thick dark beard sculpted with realistic details, expresses a deep contemplative calm, while the gaze is directed towards the faithful.

Crafted according to the ancient sculptural tradition of Val Gardena, this statue guarantees the highest quality of materials, selected according to size to ensure the perfect rendering of details. For sizes up to 56 cm we use Maple Wood, known for its fineness and compactness, ideal for minute details. For sizes from 56 cm upwards, the sculpture is carved from Linden Wood, perfect for statues of great impact and volume.
