The mastery of the sculptors from Val Gardena is evident in this poignant depiction of Saint Zeno of Verona, the patron saint of the Scaliger city. The figure, imposing and serene, captivates with its contemplative expression and richness of detail.
Saint Zeno is dressed in lavish episcopal robes: the mitre and cope, painted in rich reddish-brown, are adorned with wide borders and golden decorations that enhance their sacredness. The contrast between the earthy robes and the shimmering golden crozier and symbols creates a visual effect of profound devotion.
Each piece is hand-carved and hand-painted by our master craftsmen Dolfi. Meticulous care extends to the choice of materials: this sculpture is made of maple wood for sizes up to 56 cm and precious lime wood for larger dimensions. From the smallest sizes (15 cm) to large altar sculptures (200 cm), we guarantee unparalleled definition and durability. Oil paints are expertly applied to create a matte finish for the skin and fabrics, while gold elements shine with a leaf finish that adds prestige and light.
