Story
San Pancrazio di Roma è venerato come uno dei martiri della prima Chiesa, giustiziato durante le persecuzioni di Diocleziano intorno al 304 d.C. La sua storia narra di un giovane cittadino romano, figlio di un nobile frigio, che abbracciò il cristianesimo con fervore dopo la morte dei genitori. Rifiutandosi di sacrificare agli dei pagani, fu decapitato lungo la Via Aurelia all'età di soli 14 anni. È patrono di diversi luoghi e cause, tra cui i bambini che ricevono la prima comunione e coloro che prestano giuramenti, ed è storicamente venerato in particolare in Italia e Inghilterra. La sua figura è un potente simbolo di purezza e fedeltà alla fede nonostante la giovane età.
