The sculpture of Saint Fermina captures the essence of devotion through a dynamic pose and a serene expression. The cloak, rich in sculptural folds that enhance its movement, is painted in an intense reddish-brown, contrasting beautifully with the cream-colored robe underneath. Precious details, such as the finely decorated crown and the edges of the vestments, are enriched with meticulous golden accents that simulate the luster of gold leaf, highlighting the craftsmanship of the Val Gardena artisans.
The Saint's head is slightly tilted, with her gaze directed downwards, conveying a sense of deep humility and contemplation. Each piece is the result of entirely hand-painted work, which gives a unique depth to the nuances of the face, characterized by a fair complexion and a delicate hint of a smile.
To ensure maximum fidelity and durability over time, this statue is made with selected precious woods according to tradition: maple wood for sizes up to 56 cm and linden wood for larger sizes (starting from 60 cm).
