The artist from Val Gardena has brought to life a richly dressed figure, where the carmine red of the outer garment creates a vibrant contrast with the stole and gilded edges, simulating the opulence of gold leaf.
Every detail is meticulously crafted: from the gilded crozier, a symbol of his guiding role, to the open book he holds in his hand, a reminder of his wisdom and the Gospel. His serene and contemplative expression, with eyes slightly turned upwards and a carefully sculpted thick beard, conveys a profound spirituality. Handcrafted in the heart of the Dolomites, the statue of Saint Erard guarantees Dolfi sculptural excellence. Depending on the chosen size, the sculpture is carved from precious maple wood for sizes up to 56 cm, known for its fineness, and from robust linden wood for larger sizes. Both variants, available in the colored (C) finish or in three shades of brown (3G), maintain the promise of a sacred work of art destined to last over time.
