The sculpture (3.5 cm) is entirely made of maple wood, the preferred material of Val Gardena sculptors for works under 56 cm, renowned for its fine grain and excellent workability. The matte or slightly satin finish enhances the warm natural tone of the wood, which ranges from pale beige to golden light brown, revealing delicate vertical veins that give a unique and unrepeatable character to each piece.
Observe the purity of the design: the minimalist face is defined by two large, circular hollowed eyes with dark pupils and an inverted "V" beak, giving the owl a fixed, contemplative expression.
