This sculpture captures a moment of serene contemplation and offering, presenting a shepherdess who embodies divine grace and generosity. The figure is gently reclined, with her gaze directed towards the the basin brimming with gifts, which evoke freshly baked bread and the fruits of the harvest. The dominant tones are earthy and warm, with the garment in a medium-warm brown whose deep, antique folds add a sculptural realism of great impact.
Every detail, from the subtle carved wings to the soft drapery of the garment, is the result of artisan mastery handed down from generation to generation in Val Gardena. This work is made of precious maple wood, selected for its fine grain and resistance, ideal characteristics for small and finely detailed carvings (available from 8 cm to 16 cm).
The colored (C) finish gives a vibrant contrast between the pale blue-gray of the basin and the yellow-orange tones of the gifts, evoking abundance. The final patination gives a slight sheen that enhances the wood grain and gives the statue an antique and precious effect. It is also available in elegant N (natural wood) and 3G (three shades of brown) finishes to integrate perfectly into any devotional or home environment.
