The expression of calm strength and patience, masterfully captured in maple wood by the artists of Val Gardena. This sculpture of an upright Ram is a masterpiece of texture and detail. The fleece is carved with deep, undulating parallel grooves all over the body, a work that mimics the density and texture of wool, emphasized by a two-tone painting that alternates light beige and dark grey-brown. Its powerful horns, a central element of charm and symbolism, are modeled in a typical twisted spiral, painted in a dark reddish-brown. The matte finish and natural, earthy colors give the animal an authentic and placid appearance.
The entire work is made of maple wood, a preferred material for small to medium-sized sculptures (up to 56 cm), guaranteeing robustness and fineness in detail work.
