The story of Saint John Neumann
Born in Bohemia in 1811, John Neumann moved to the United States, where he was ordained a priest and joined the Redemptorists. In 1852 he became Bishop of Philadelphia and devoted himself especially to pastoral work and Catholic education. He died on January 5, 1860, and was canonized by Pope Paul VI in 1977.
