Attention to detail is evident in the rich drapery of the reddish-brown tunic and olive-green cloak, whose deep folds are accentuated by skilful oil painting. The Oil-colored finish enhances the natural beauty of the wood, allowing the grain to show through the semi-transparent pigments, while the edges of the cloak shine with meticulous gold leaf details applied by hand.
This work is a tribute to the excellent craftsmanship of Val Gardena. Crafted with care and dedication, the sculpture is available in various sizes to suit any sacred or domestic space. According to our tradition, it is made of maple wood for sizes up to 56cm, preferred for its carving finesse, and of linden wood for other sizes, more suitable for large works and church sculptures.
