Description

This splendid sculpture captures the intimacy and serenity of the embrace between Saint Joseph and the Infant Jesus. The man, wrapped in robes of warm brown and ochre hues, tenderly holds his son, with his head bowed in a gesture of protection and sweetness. The faces, characterized by a calm and innocent expression, are finely hand-painted, highlighting the artisanal mastery of Val Gardena.

The Child, dressed in a delicate blue-grey, is comfortably nestled in Saint Joseph's arm, whose gaze serenely watches over the future. In one hand, Joseph clutches a bouquet of white lilies, a central element of his iconography.

Crafted from a precious combination of resin and wood dust, this work maintains exceptional detail definition, from the realistic folds of the robes to the sculpted beard. The entirely painted (colored) finish enhances the nuances and depth, making each piece a tangible symbol of faith and protection.
