A sculpture of rare elegance portraying Saint Helena the Empress, mother of Constantine the Great and discoverer of the True Cross, in all her spiritual majesty. Hand-carved and hand-painted by Val Gardena artisans, this statue is a masterpiece of devotion and sacred art.
The saint is depicted standing, wrapped in a broad dark grey-blue mantle that falls naturally over her long golden-ochre dress. In her right hand she holds a dark wooden cross, symbol of her most celebrated discovery, the True Cross of Christ, while with her left she supports an open sacred book, bearing witness to her faith and wisdom. A golden crucifix hangs on her chest, completing the traditional iconography. Her serene, contemplative face, with her gaze slightly lowered, conveys deep reflection and inner grace.
Available in a wide range of sizes, from a small 15 cm statuette to monumental sculptures up to 200 cm, this work is made from maple wood for sizes up to 56 cm and linden wood for the larger sculptures, always ensuring the highest quality and detail.
