Admire the majesty of the sculpture of Saint Gotthard Bishop, a masterpiece of sacred craftsmanship from Val Gardena. This work captures the figure of the Saint in a pose of deep contemplation and spiritual authority. The opulent and richly draped vestments are painted in a warm crimson red, beautifully contrasting with the brilliance of the stole and the golden ornaments that enhance his episcopal dignity.
Every detail is meticulously crafted, from the ornate miter to the rich golden crozier, and the book the Saint holds in his hand, a symbol of the divine Word. The serene expression, with downcast eyes, gives the figure an aura of deep spiritual contemplation, making it a focal point of devotion in any setting.
The sculpture of Saint Gotthard is available in different finishes, including classic color (C), natural (N) or with three shades of brown (3G). To ensure maximum sculptural fidelity and quality, we use precious wood: it is made of maple wood for sizes up to 56 cm and linden wood for larger sizes. All polychrome variants are entirely finished and hand-painted by our master craftsmen, perpetuating a centuries-old tradition of South Tyrol.
