The sculpture "Our Lady of the Rosary" is a masterpiece of devotion and craftsmanship, entirely crafted according to the centuries-old tradition of the artisans of Val Gardena. The Virgin, crowned like the Child, rests on a cloud base, a symbol of her celestial glory.
Her robes are painted with a vibrant contrast of deep blue and red-orange, falling in voluminous folds that give a sense of movement and volume. The Madonna's face is of a touching serenity, with a slight smile that reflects her maternal grace. The Child Jesus is lovingly held, with His arms extended forward in a gesture of welcome and blessing.
The attention to detail is extreme, evident in the elaborate and golden crowns, with an antique finish that enhances their preciousness, and in the finely reproduced rosary she holds in her right hand, complete with beads, medal, and silvered crucifix.
The quality of the materials is guaranteed by the Dolfi tradition: this sculpture is made of maple wood for sizes up to 56 cm, an ideal material for its fineness and ability to capture the minutest details. For monumental sizes, starting from 60 cm, the figure is carved from sturdy linden wood, ensuring stability and majesty.
It is available in classic colored (C), natural (N) finishes, and in the three-shades-of-brown (3G) variant, where skilled painters enhance the folds of the drapery with deep shading.
