The Madonna of Protection is a masterpiece of wood sculpture that evokes a profound sense of welcome and maternal love. This representation captures the Virgin in a pose of tender care, cradling the Baby Jesus and embracing a group of children in prayer and play.
The serene and slightly melancholic expression of the Madonna, combined with the skillful use of pastel and earthy tones, lends the sculpture an aura of delicate sacredness. Attention to detail is evident in the children's soft curls, the draped garments, and, above all, in the radiant golden inner cloak that embraces the figures, symbolizing divine light and protection.
Each piece is the result of the ancient artisan art of Val Gardena, hand-carved and hand-painted with mastery in Italy. To ensure maximum fidelity and quality in every size, the statue is made of precious maple wood for all sizes under 56 cm. For large sculptures (from 56 cm upwards), robust linden wood is used, ensuring stability and detail even in the most imposing versions.
