The figure of the statue of Our Lady of Medjugorje gracefully rests on a cloud-shaped base, symbolizing her ascent and celestial connection, with the inscription "MEDUGORJE" in relief on the golden plaque.
The mantle, of a pure and candid white, and the dress, in a delicate blue-greyish tone, feature expertly modeled folds, highlighted by shadows entirely hand-painted, attesting to the high quality of Val Gardena craftsmanship. The choice of wood is meticulously curated to guarantee the best sculptural result: the statue is made of precious maple wood for sizes up to 56 cm, while for monumental dimensions (from 56 cm up to 200 cm) lime wood is used, known for its stability and workability in large pieces.
