Admire the sculpture of the Madonna of Lourdes, a masterpiece of spirituality and craftsmanship from Val Gardena. This representation captures the essence of the apparition with sublime grace.
The Virgin stands in a serene and contemplative pose: her head slightly bowed, her gentle gaze directed downwards, and her hands joined at her chest in a gesture of prayer. The long, creamy white gown is draped in soft folds, cinched by a band of intense blue. The very fine pictorial details are enhanced by delicate golden profiling that frames the edges of the veil and gown, reflecting divine light. At her feet, on the base simulating the rock of Massabielle, two roses bloom, sculpted in soft pink and peach tones, a symbol of purity.
Each statue is the result of the ancient Dolomite sculptural tradition. To ensure maximum definition of features and stability over time, our Madonna of Lourdes is carefully crafted from maple wood for sizes up to 56 cm. For more imposing dimensions, from 60 cm and above, we use linden wood, which is lighter and more suitable for large sculptures. Choose from the different finishes available, from traditional coloring (C) to the refined natural wood version with gold thread (NV).
