The Pilgrim Madonna of Fátima is a work of deep spirituality, handcrafted by Dolfi sculptors according to the ancient artisan tradition of Val Gardena. This statue captures the Virgin Mary in the classic iconography of the Portuguese apparitions, radiating a sense of peace and devotion.
The figure stands upright, with hands joined in prayer, a symbol of intercession and deep piety. The serene and maternal expression of her face is accentuated by naturalistic painting, with pale pink lips and blue eyes that convey sweet consolation.
The drapery of the long tunic and mantle, both in a warm ivory/cream color, is rendered with exceptional fluidity. The entire figure is embellished with rich golden details that enhance its sacredness: elegant stylized motifs decorate the mantle. Beneath her bare feet, sculpted clouds add a touch of celestial majesty, resting on a dark hexagonal base engraved with the word "FATIMA".
To ensure maximum definition and durability in every size, the statue is made of maple wood for sizes up to 56 cm and lime wood for larger dimensions.
