The Dolfi Alberello Nativity Scene is a representation of the Nativity that combines the ancient sculptural art of Val Gardena with a modern and deeply symbolic design. This sculpture is a hymn to material and spiritual contrast: a rough and dark exterior, evoking bark or mountain rock, encloses a smooth and luminous heart.
Inside this protective arch, made of light wood, the Holy Family unfolds. The figures, highly stylized and lacking facial details, are a universal expression of welcome and love, illuminated by the simplicity of their rounded forms. The entire scene is surmounted by a five-pointed star, carved in light wood, a symbol of the divine light that guides the shepherds.
Each Alberello Nativity Scene, with its 16 cm size, is carved from precious maple wood. This wood, known for its fine grain and its ability to enhance light finishes, is skillfully worked to create an intense dialogue between raw and polished surfaces, making this creation a piece of contemporary sacred art, perfect for infusing warmth and spirituality into any environment.
