This magnificent sculpture captures the essence of divine purity through the dynamic and serene figure of the Infant Jesus. The artist has infused the work with a sense of movement and welcome: the arms are open in a gesture of universal blessing, while the face expresses infinite sweetness, with a penetrating blue gaze inviting contemplation.
Every detail is a result of the masterful craftsmanship of Val Gardena. The Infant's curls are meticulously sculpted, the skin is rendered with delicate peach and rosy tones, and the drapery, in an ethereal soft blue-green, envelops the figure with realistic folds that add depth. The painted finish is smooth and matte, enhancing the softness of the forms.
The sculpture is available in various finishes and sizes. To ensure maximum fidelity and longevity, the base material follows the Dolfi tradition: it is made of precious maple wood for all sizes up to 50 cm and linden wood for the 60 cm variant.
