The heart, a universal symbol of love and devotion, is not directly associated with a specific saint as a Christmas decoration. However, in the religious context, the "Sacred Heart of Jesus" and the "Immaculate Heart of Mary" are objects of profound veneration. The Sacred Heart represents Christ's infinite love for humanity, his mercy, and his sacrifice. Devotion to it developed in the 17th century thanks to Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque, who had visions of Jesus revealing his desire to spread this devotion. The Immaculate Heart of Mary symbolizes Mary's purity, motherly love, and total obedience to the divine will. Its veneration is linked to the apparitions of Fatima in 1917, where Our Lady asked for the consecration of the world to her Immaculate Heart for peace. Both devotions invite prayer, reparation, and imitation of the virtues of Jesus and Mary.
