The figure is a visual dialogue between raw nature and masterful craftsmanship. The main mass and the outer surfaces of the wings are covered with natural tree bark, rough and irregular, evoking a deep connection with the Alpine forest. This organic texture is contrasted by the smooth and polished internal wood, of a light tone, which gives lightness and cleanliness to the silhouette.
This piece, entirely hand-carved by the sculptors of Val Gardena, is made of solid maple wood (for the 18 cm size), selected for its fine grain and ability to enhance the dual finish. A work that not only decorates but protects, embodying the excellence of Tyrolean sacred craftsmanship.
