In Val Gardena, the love for wood merges with the ability to capture the grace of natural forms. This beautiful silhouette captures the essence of a resting cat, curled up with its paws tucked under its rounded body. The figure is carved from a single plank of light wood, whose natural grains add depth and warmth. All the details, from the large, sleepy eyes to the long whiskers, and the stripes defining its fur, are created through meticulous dark brown engraving or pyrography, which creates a fascinating contrast with the natural wood base and its matte, polished finish.
This decorative piece, made according to the Dolfi tradition, is available in a 22 cm size. For this size, we exclusively use Maple wood, chosen for its smooth texture and fine grain that enhances the sharpness of the engraved lines and the purity of the form. It is a furnishing object that carries the soul of the mountains and the mastery of our sculptors.
