Particular Black Forest quartz cuckoo clock is represented by dancers standing on the balcony and a merry dancer on the stairs.
The chalet house is enriched by the green windows with hearts, the woodcutter and the water mill. The peculiarity of this wood carved cuckoo is the movement of the wheel, the woodcutter and the costumed copies that are operated simultaneously with the music that plays every half hour and every hour when the wooden cuckoo sings.
The quartz clockwork is driven by three 1.5V C batteries.

La tradizione dell'orologio a cucù affonda le sue radici nella Foresta Nera (Germania) del XVIII secolo, dove i residenti iniziarono a creare complessi meccanismi orologieri in legno, sviluppando il caratteristico sportello da cui emerge l'uccello. Questi orologi si evolsero rapidamente, trasformandosi da semplici strumenti a vere e proprie sculture architettoniche che riproducevano case alpine o scene di caccia. Il modello a chalet, come questo, divenne popolare perché rifletteva l'architettura locale. L'incontro tra questa antica arte orologiera e l'eccellenza dell'intaglio della Val Gardena, celebre per la sua arte sacra e profana sin dal XVII secolo, ha dato vita a pezzi unici in cui la precisione meccanica si fonde con la raffinatezza scultorea dolomitica.
