Entirely crafted from maple wood, as is traditional for sculptures of this size (23 cm), the clock is finished with a glossy lacquer that enhances the deep grain and rich tones of the wood, recalling the elegance of walnut and oak. Atop it, an imposing deer head, a symbol of strength and longevity, dominates the scene with its large branched antlers.

The entire frame of the central body is richly decorated with relief carvings of oak leaves, voluminous and meticulously defined, which symmetrically frame the classic dial. The Roman numerals and hands have a golden finish. The traditional pinecone-shaped weights, simulating burnished bronze, and the pendulum decorated with a single oak leaf, complete this masterpiece of joinery and horological precision.

The symbolism of this clock is deeply connected to the forest and mountain traditions. The Deer (or Cervid) is a universal symbol of nobility, longevity, and regeneration, thanks to the annual cycle of antler shedding and regrowth.
