This chalet-style cuckoo clock is not just a timepiece, but an authentic masterpiece of Val Gardena craftsmanship. Every detail speaks of the tranquility, history, and timeless charm of alpine life.
The structure, which stands 36 cm tall, is made following the Dolfi sculptural tradition. Its size ensures the fineness of the carving, guaranteed by the use of precious maple wood, handcrafted to recreate the shape of a traditional alpine chalet, complete with a sloping roof and characteristic green shutters. The contrast between the light natural wood of the facade and the dark, burnished, and polished brown of the base and roof enhances the three-dimensionality of the sculpture.
On the lower platform, a meticulously carved rural scene comes to life: stylized figures in traditional clothing engage in daily activities, surrounded by landscape elements such as the coniferous tree and the faux stone wall. From the richly decorated base hang characteristic carved pine cones, symbols of mountain nature, which conceal the internal mechanism. This clock combines the ancient art of Ortisei carving with renowned mechanical precision, creating a piece that holds the soul of the mountains.
