Admire the powerful visual impact: the outer part of the sculpture maintains the rustic integrity of the bark, with its raw finish, dark veins, and irregular texture, a direct reference to the Alpine nature of Val Gardena. In stark contrast, a circular hollow reveals a smooth and luminous interior, where the art of Dolfi carving comes to life.
The Nativity scene is sculpted in an essential and elegant style, with the figures of the Holy Family—Mary, Joseph, and the Baby Jesus—represented as pure silhouettes. A small five-pointed star watches over them, replicated in a larger form at the top of the tree, completing a design of strong symbolic value.
Made entirely by hand in our workshop, the carving of the internal scene is executed in precious maple wood, the material of choice for smaller sculptures (18 cm). This choice ensures refined details, highlighted natural veins, and a smooth finish that enhances the transparency and light of the lighter wood, creating a unique work that unites the Tree and the Nativity scene in a single, memorable object.
