The Virgin Mary is depicted kneeling in a gesture of profound humility and acceptance, with her head bowed and a serene expression that reflects the joy of divine motherhood. Beside her, Saint Joseph watches over, thoughtful and protective, holding a small lit candle – a symbol of the light of Faith that illuminates the darkness. In the center of the scene, Baby Jesus lies innocent in the manger, with his arms slightly raised in a gesture of universal welcome.
The figures are meticulously hand-painted with opaque pastel tones that enhance the underlying wood texture, while the rich and natural draping of the clothes gives depth and realism. The sculptural group is made of precious maple wood for most size variants (up to 28 cm). For larger sizes, such as the 56 cm variant, linden wood is used, which is more suitable for supporting larger volumes. Available in colored (C), natural (N) or three shades of brown (3G) finishes.
