Story
The Merciful Jesus, depicted in the carved wooden circle, is the central image of Divine Mercy, revealed by Jesus himself to Saint Faustina Kowalska in the 1930s. This devotion is based on unlimited trust in God's mercy, which forgives every sin and welcomes anyone who turns to Him with a contrite heart. Veneration is expressed through the recitation of the Chaplet of Divine Mercy, the adoration of the image and the practice of works of mercy. The Feast of Divine Mercy is celebrated on the first Sunday after Easter.
