Gaspare, one of the Three Wise Men, is a central figure in the Christian Christmas tradition. Although the Bible does not provide specific details about the names or number of the Magi, tradition has identified them as Melchior, Gaspare and Balthazar, associating each one with a symbolic gift: gold, frankincense and myrrh. Gaspare is traditionally depicted as the youngest of the three, often dark-skinned, and is believed to have offered frankincense, a symbol of Jesus' divinity. His veneration is linked to the celebration of the Epiphany, which commemorates the manifestation of Jesus to the whole world, represented by the adoration of the Magi. Their story symbolizes the universality of the Christian message and the homage of all peoples to the Savior.
