Anthony is the patron. Pius XII. In 1946 he proclaimed Saint Anthony a Doctor of the Church and awarded him the title of Doctor Evangelicus for his firm and constant observance of the Gospel. St. Anthony is honored by the Catholic Church on June 13th.
